FAQ

Safety

  1. What types of paints do you use?

I use professional cosmetic grade face paints made especially for use on skin. Please always be aware of what face painters are putting on your child's sensitive skin. Just because something is labeled "washable or "non-toxic" does not mean that it is safe for children's faces.

Currently I use Wolfe, Tag, Mehron, Diamond FX and Cameleon brands.  All glitter is cosmetic grade.

  2. How do I remove the face paint after the event?

Removing the face paint is fairly simple. Because most of the paints are water based, just use a warm dark coloured wash cloth, soap and water.  Remove the bulk of the design with the damp cloth or baby wipe first, then go back in with another wet cloth and a mild soap to remove the residue.  Please note that a hint of some colours will sometimes remain.  If this occurs, a second washing or applying baby oil with a cloth will do the trick.

  3. My child has very sensitive skin and severe allergies. Are they still able to get their face painted?

Because every child is different with different tollerance levels I am not able to advise you on this. You know your child best.  If your child has extremely sensitive skin and allergies to many different things, I would not suggest getting their face painted. Although all the face paints I use are professional cosmetic grade paints I can't guarantee how your child will be affected.

Making a Booking

  1. How much advance notice do you need for a booking?

One month advanced notice is ideal for ensuring that you get the date you want.  You can always check in to see if a date has opened up due to a cancellation if you're closer to your event date.

  2. How much advance warning do you need for a cancellation?

I need 7 days notice for an event to be cancelled.  Any cancellations closer than a week to your event will result in a loss of the deposit fee.

  3. How far are you willing to travel for a booking?

I will service any events in York Region:  Newmarket, Aurora, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, King, Whitchurch-Stouffville, East Gwillimbury & Georgina.  If my travel time exceeds 1 half hour, there will be an additional travel fee.
